GIS Developer - Midlands - Contract or Permanent role on offer - £Neg I am currently seeking a GIS Developer for a client in the Midlands. The client is happy to consider a Permanent role or look at a contractor who can provide a fix for them. The role is based around ArcGIS Server so experience is a must. You will also have VB.Net and ideally some understanding of Silverlight. The candidate will be joining an existing software development team to deliver a range of products to the environmental sector. Someone with an environmental background and an understanding of environmental issues will have an advantage. You will mainly be developing tools for web based GIS and also helping to develop software and applications for hand held field devices. This is a varied role and you won’t be stuck on the same project for months on end. We require a developer who likes to interact with the rest of the team and listen to and provide ideas. This is not a heads down programming only role. You will be developing tools for external clients and internally for my client also.
