Graduate Level Application Developer (Permanent)

Salary to £26,000 plus benefits

Location: South London, UK

Eligibility for UK Security Clearance is mandatory

My client is one of the ‘new breed’ management consultancies offering ‘state of the art’ advice and solutions across a wide cross section of businesses .

As part of their planned growth they are able to offer a trainee level career opportunity to a computer science or software engineering graduate who possesses good theoretical software engineering and application programming skills within a contemporary web-driven context.  Of key interest to the client are graduates who have carried out practical projects with a strong emphasis on web applications, database development and data management applying object-oriented methods and paradigms.

The company is looking to attract quite junior level candidates who possess potential and enthusiasm.  The basic qualification is a degree or a higher learning qualification in computer science or software engineering.  Candidates who have accrued some practical experience of the Microsoft approach to development will be at a distinct advantage.  Specifically Visual Studio, SQL Server, ASP.Net/C#.Net and VB.Net, Silverlight and Java.  If your experience is with other web tools then training will be provided, where required.

You will be joining a highly motivated and well-focused group of developers who are tightly integrated within the organisation.   After training and induction you will become involved in the development of the Company’s software in accordance with task specifications and programming standards.  This means ensuring that all software produced is of a high standard and free from errors, that any documentation related to the task is correct and is kept up to date and that all activities related to software development are performed in accordance with the company’s QA procedures.
