Hi Christine-
Our Cultural Resource Management Program at the University of Victoria (British Columbia, Canada) offers online professional development opportunities for museum and heritage site professionals. We offer courses both for non-credit professional development, and also for academic credit toward a comprehensive Diploma in Cultural Resource Management or a Graduate Professional Certificate in Cultural Heritage Studies.
Beginning in January, we are offering the following course online that might have been of interest to your education staff:
HA486B – Museum Principles and Practices II: Programming, Exhibitions, and Management
In the past we have also offered the following relevant courses (and most likely will offer them again in the Summer 2013 or Fall 2013 terms):
HA486A – Museum Principles and Practices I: Communities, Curatorship and Collections
HA488S – Building Community Relationships
HA488G – Public Programming
You can find out information about all of our courses on our website at:

Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any specific questions about our courses or programs!
All the best,
Anissa

Subject: Training courses
Dear colleagues,
Thank you for all you very useful responses to my previous email.
I am also currently investigating the possibility of some training for the education staff in our service. Does any one know of any training courses for education within museums/heritage to develop skills in both delivery and development of sessions? I have contacts for consultants that can deliver bespoke sessions but was looking for something general if anyone has any ideas that would be great,
Many Thanks
Christine
