Hi Cath,

It was done by our Business Development Dept,  but responsibility has just moved to Exams. As with Stephen, we only collate evidence of what has been claimed in exams and evidence of prior achievement e.g. GCSEs, is dealt with by a WBL administrator. It’s early days, so we’re only just getting to grips with the ACE system.

Initially, I was very resistant when it was first suggested that responsibility would move to Exams.  However, as I’ve been allowed to recruit a new FT Exams Officer post to deal with this additional work plus the general increase in workload over the past 4 year that I’ve been in post, I can’t complain too much.

Regards,

Subject: Apprentice framework certificates

Hi

Do any of you claim or the apprenticeship framework certificates in the exams department, I have never been involved in this process as it has always been done by our business development department. They are now trying to make this part of our role which I am none too keen in…..

Feedback from other Exams Officers would be greatly appreciated as to who does this in their college.
