Afternoon All,

I am looking for some advice regarding a request I have received from a Spanish Authority.

The request has come from their Foreign Taxpayers Department and they are trying to trace an individual from our area that owes a debt under the Spanish Taxation Act. They have quoted Section 29 of the Data Protection Act 1998, stating that they are entitled to the information as they are a public authority who require the information for the purposes of collecting a tax or duty.

This is the first time that I have ever had a request from of this kind from oversees and just wondered if anyone else regularly deals with DPA requests from outside the country?

Many thanks,
