Dear Forum,

The link below is to a collection of abstracts and papers from the Global Land Grabbing Conference II which contains a wealth of material for those interested in international food politics. Some detail land grabbing activities by multinational agribusinesses such as sugarcane and palm oil industries, resulting in differing governmental responses and activities of resistance from subsistence farmers. The papers problematise notions of land grabbing and the economy of extractive industries including discussion of government interacting with such industries changing landscapes, access to territory and social mobilisation.

Following from several other interesting political food posts I hope that this is of interest to some.

Best wishes,

Rebecca
