Hello,

My name is Abdi Gas and I work for Disability Rights UK. I am currently heading a project that aims to bring the expertise of Disability Rights UK and Deaf Unity to the North East, entitled Young Deaf People Yorkshire (YDPY). I am the Project Coordinator.

http://disabilityrightsuk.org/deafstudentsseminar.htm

The principle aim of our project is to support Deaf students in West and East Yorkshire who are applying (or thinking about applying) for places in higher education during the next academic year (2013). We will also be providing them support with applying to and accessing university, then follow this up with the provision of tailored one-to-one coaching to help with their journey and smooth transition into Higher Education.

If you know any students or colleges interested in this event, please let me know. We feel that it is important for this event and opportunity to be open to students from various colleges, inasmuch as there is a distinct lack of access to such resources for deaf students.

Please see link which provides access to the registration form: http://tinyurl.com/c7kyfbj

I look forward to your reply.

Abdi
