Job Summary

Salary/Wage:        £16,403.84 - £18,205.64 per annum
Hours:                    35 hours per week
Location:                Heritage Hub, Hawick
Contract Duration:   Temporary until 31 March 2013

Please note priority will be given to staff on the redeployment list.

You will assist the Archive Manager to produce and deliver the education and outreach programme for the Archive and Local History service and which ensures maximum accessibility to the collections and the information they contain. 

 

You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be self motivated and committed to providing excellence in customer service, have experience of delivering learning progammes to a wide range of age and ability groups, preferably in the heritage sector. 
You should possess a minimum of three higher grades (or equivalent), have a good level general knowledge and an interest in Scottish, local and family history. The post demands some evening and weekend work.
