Introduction
One of the modern challenges to public services is to be able to demonstrate that investment and action are improving people's lives.
Archives, perhaps now more than ever before, must demonstrate the contribution they make to better outcomes for individuals, communities and places.
An Outcomes Framework has been developed by the Chief Cultural & Leisure Officers Association (CCLOA) and the Local Government Association (LGA). The Outcomes Framework will help you measure and evidence the difference your service makes and its contribution to local priorities. It will also help you make the case for continued investment of public money.
Aims of the training session
This free half day training session will:
Following the training CLOA and TNA will be seeking case studies to build the existing web resource and would welcome your commitment to using the outcomes framework and sharing your examples and experience.
Timetable
1300 – 1315 Arrival and tea/coffee
1315 – 1415 An introduction to the outcomes framework
· Benefits of developing your own framework
· Elements of the framework – outcomes triangle, logic model, evidence list and performance indicators
· Web demonstration
1415-1430 Break
1430-1545 Practical exercise – creating your own outcomes framework
1545-1600 Questions and next steps
Preparation
Please bring your corporate plan and service plan, as these will be useful for the practical exercise.
