Sound Bites: Recording Our Past

Day School on Oral History

 

Are you running an oral history project? Would you like some pointers from experts in the field and from successful project managers?

 

Speakers: Andrew Schofield (North West Sound Archive), Steve Caunce (University of Central Lancashire), Jennie Vickers (Ahmed Iqbal Ullah Education Trust), Paul Weatherall (Manx National Heritage)

 

Topics: Getting started, equipment and question selection; oral history in a university setting in the 21st century; a successful oral history project; disseminating and digitising outcomes in a library setting

Places are limited so early booking is advised.  Cost: £30 (CILIP members and unwaged £24).  Lunch not included but there is a café on site.
