Following several requests I have summarised the recommendations I received for suitable companies to temporarily store archives

 

The most popular recommendation was Deepstore www.deepstore.com who have facilities in Bromley-by-Bow, London; Wallington, Surrey and in Cheshire.

 

The other two recurring recommendations I received were:

 

Constantine www.const.co.uk who specialise in Fine Art relocation and storage but also handle museum and archive collections too.

 

The National Conservation Service new Collaborative Storage project www.ncs.org.uk which is currently being finalised and will shortly be ready to take in collections requiring temporary storage

 

Other names I was given included Nexus, which are a company that negotiates with storage companies on your behalf, and Harwell.
