Hello All, Now that we all turn out to be doing 'social zooarchaeology' I have been chasing up who was the first person to publish the expression. Google suggests that it was Marciniak in 2001. Does anyone claim earlier use? I see that Nerissa Russell in her very nice new book 'Social Zooarchaeology' gives credit to Pam Crabtree and her colleagues for the ideas, if not the definition.
