Dear Member Firstly may I apologise to all members who may have been annoyed with the content of my last e-mail; I have had one or two responses suggesting that some of you might share those feelings. I trust that the invitation and attachment that accompanies this e-mail are more acceptable. Paul HildrethGeneral Secretary

The Manchester Geological Association is arranging a day of lectures on Saturday 12th January 2013 at University

Place, University of Manchester, next to the Williamson Building, opposite Manchester Museum. The subject is the

Palaeontology of China and the speakers are currently carrying out research in this field.

Could you please pass this information on to your members, in case they are interested in attending this event. The

Broadhurst Lectures have been a sellout in previous years and so we are using a larger venue this time in order to

accommodate the anticipated demand, although there will still be a limit on numbers. Please note that booking and

advance payment are essential because of the catering arrangements.

I have attached a booking form. Details are also available on our website, www.mangeolassoc.org.uk, on the Indoor

Meetings page.

This event is generously supported by the Geologists' Association and the Broadhurst family.

Best wishes, Sue Plumb, General Secretary, Manchester Geological Association
