[apologies for cross-posting]
If you missed our successful e-Assessment event in Lancaster last month, then hopefully you’ll be able to make our second Regional event in Manchester on the 23rd of November! There is a small delegate charge for this event (just to cover running costs), but we have tried to keep this as low as possible, so that as many people as possible can attend.
Hope to see you there!

The e-Assessment Association (eAA), a national body which exists to promote the use of
e-assessment in education, has prepared an exciting series of events that is taking place across all regions of the UK. The next such regional event, in partnership with Manchester Metropolitan University is on the 23rd of November.
With the pressure to show impact in our institutions, it’s important to know that technology is applied in the most effective way. We have brought together speakers from near and far to share their experiences and to show how you also can make a positive difference through using
e-Assessment in your own organisation. We warmly invite you to come along this stimulating and interactive event – to hear, to share, and to learn.
Highlights include:
· Doug Belshaw explaining why you should be thinking of adding badges to your CV
· Karen Coyle taking an OpenClass approach to assessment
· Neil Ringan highlighting how technology fits into the assessment cycle
· Judy Bloxham demonstrating an augmented view of formative assessment
Now, we mentioned that the event would be interactive and here we plan to maximise the flow of good ideas through channelling the collective expertise present into answering the questions that you especially want answered . So, if you’re wondering things like:
1. How can I build up a bank of assessment questions if I have no time to spare?
2. What tools can manage my assessment submission, IV, EV and feedback processes?
3. Is there a way to assess group work reliably using a technological solution?
Then, we are tasking our experts with these common issues in the first instance. If you have any additional assessment-related questions that you’d like to see them tackle (address, you could say), then please send them to Kenji Lamb ([log in to unmask]) before the 19th of November.
We hope you will join us and are able to take your active part in a day that promises to offer many new tips, techniques and ideas.
Register for the eAA Regional Event Manchester
