The Olin Neuropsychiatry Research Center at Hartford Hospital would like to announce the availability of Neuroinformatics Database (NIDB) as open-source software for free download.

NIDB is a portable database designed to store any modality of neuroimaging data, perform automatic QA and analysis on the data, and allow you to instantly search across your entire database to download data or view results. Whether you have imaging data from tens of thousands of subjects across several labs or a few hundred subjects from just one project, NIDB scales to fit your data. Installation of a working system at your site can take as little as 1 hour, depending on your hardware speeds.

Some features:
 - Stores any DICOM modality (MRI, CT, US, PET, CR, etc), EEG, ET, video, SNPs, or any genetic data
 - Easy to install, easy to use
 - Automatic QA, pipeline analysis
 - Search pipeline results
 - Fast cross-project queries and download.
 - Real-time QA: available 1-2 minutes after an MR scan

Visit http://nidb.sourceforge.net to download or learn more about it. An installer for CentOS 6.3 and a Virtual Box .vdi image are available.
