Dear All,

With apologies for cross posting, this event may be of interest to colleagues.

Autumn 2012 sees the formal launch of the Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR) and publication of the UK Credit Forum’s survey of HE Credit practice in the UK. An early opportunity to discuss implications will be at this year’s SACWG (Student Assessment and Classification Working Group) workshop on 21st November 2012 in London, with keynotes from both Professor Paul Bridges (Head of Research, University of Derby and Chair of the UK Credit Forum) on credit practice and standards, and from Professor Sir Bob Burgess (Vice Chancellor, University of Leicester), who has chaired the HEAR Working Group.

This year’s SACWG seminar is entitled “Credit and classification: where are we going?” The flier (providing full details) is attached, as is the programme which will include Dr Helen Gale's account of the managing curriculum change at an institutional level; the programme is also available at https://secure.worc.ac.uk/sacwg/ProgrammeFinal.pdf. Early bookings are recommended via the weblink https://secure.worc.ac.uk/sacwg/. The cost for the day is £110.00 which includes lunch and refreshments, and the event will be held at Woburn House in central London.

We do hope to see you, or a colleague, at what promises to be an interesting day.

Kind regards and best wishes

Marie
