Subject: [PSCI-COM] Science communicators with high energy levels and total confidence with hands-on activities sought by BBC Radio

Hi

BBC Radio will shortly be recording a number of on-location features for a family audience, looking at the science in your: home, garden, holiday, journey, school, and Christmas.

We need a variety of expert voices, perhaps including specialists on certain areas eg physics or garden biodiversity, and we want to include a lot of hands-on demonstrations and experiments to help illustrate the science.

What's important is the pace and tone of the explanations and demonstrations - think kids' tv, that sort of energy and rapid reaction to potentially left-field questions from presenters/children will be required!

Initial recordings are in the South East but others may be elsewhere.

Please get in touch asap with contact details if this sounds like your kind of thing - we can explain more!

Thanks -

Anne McNaught
Producer, BBC Radio
