Hi Mario,

Sorry about the (very) late reply. From what I've found so far torque 4.x is not yet useable:

torque 4.1.0 - works fine with an EMI2 SL6 CREAM CE. I didn't need to make any special modifications to anything to get it to work. Jobs ran successfully. The only problem is that there is a known bug in this version of torque which means that the accounting records are missing usage information, which is important for the APEL parser.

torque 4.1.1/4.1.2 - the accounting information is correct, but I've encountered a serious problem - whenever I submit a job with the -W stagein=... option (i.e. all jobs from a CREAM CE) the pbs_server daemon crashes. I haven't been able to work out exactly what's causing this yet.

Regards,
Andrew.

Hi Mario,

I've setup a test Torque 4 batch system, but haven't tried it yet with a CREAM CE. Early this coming week I'm going to try to mate it with an EMI-2 CREAM CE.

Regards,
Andrew.

Hi,

out of curiosity, has anyone tried to mate EMI CREAM and Torque versions 4.x? There seem to be a lot of scalability upgrades that could be of use...
