We’re looking for a volunteer News Editor for our website. This requires someone who has an eye for news,is able to load copy on to our wordpress website, has a catchy, newsy writing style, and had enough time to do it. You would need to submit on average two very short news items a week. A couple of examples might be – a new report has been published that reveal x% of children make a visit to a museum each year, or there have been some new mammoth bones discovered in x (our logo is a mammoth, so we love them!). The News Editor would need to keep an eye on the news on a daily basis. If anything came up, they would need to write a very short report of it – probably just one paragraph – and put it up on our website. You would work alongside the Commissioning Editor, also a volunteer.
