InterpNEWS Update – 17 October 2012

Hi folks,

We had an amazing response to the Nov/DEC issue of InterpNEWS as we work on our goal to be THE international interpretation news e-magazine for 2013.  Some of the articles that are coming in for the Jan/Feb 2013 issue include:

-          New technologies for interpretation (3 articles).

-          Art gallery interpretation (2 articles)

-          WWII interpretation

-          Historic battlefield interpretation

-          Civil War Interpretation

-          Interpretive Writing

-          Korea/China/Japan/Taiwan meeting and seminar on interpretation overview.

-          Interpretation in China

-          Nature walks/botany interpretation.

If you would like to receive (or contribute) to the Jan/Feb InterpNEWS magazine, or other future 2013 issues -  (or receive the current Nov/DEC issue), send me your e-mail and I will add you to the mailing list (subscriptions are free).  If you're interested in contributing an article, I am looking for articles on:

-          Museum interpretation

-          Zoo/botanical garden interpretation

-          New technologies

-          Historic site and home interpretation

-          Interpreting churches and cemeteries

-     Community interpretation

-     Interpretation as a management tool.

-          Maritime interpretation

-          Costumed/living history interpretation

-          And any other topics that show innovation and creativity in interpretive programs, media, designs and services.

-          I would also like to publish articles on any aspect of interpretive research that students have conducted for their interpretive degree programs.

We only move our profession along by sharing new ideas – what works – why – and how others can use it too!

We are now over 1100 subscribers world-wide.  THANK YOU.
