Environmental/Urban/Geographies of Globalization: Adjunct Lecturers

The Department of History, Philosophy and the Social Sciences at the
Rhode Island School of Design is looking for a suitably qualified
individual to teach one section of S101:Introduction to either Environmental
Geography/Urban Studies/or Global Studies/Geographies of Globalization
 for the spring semester 2013.

This course serves two
purposes. (1) It provides an introductory survey of debates in
the social sciences to arts and design students. (2) It attempts
to facilitate the development of core skills in the liberal arts. The
idea candidate will have solid knowledge of environmental
geography/the environmental social sciences and also demonstrate an
interest and ability to use topical content to teach core skills of
writing, reading, critical thinking to arts and design students. The course will meet twice a week for two 1.15 minute sessions.
