P.S.:
Even if you are not (fully) capable to read and understand German, you and/or your students may profit from browsing through 2 databanks run by our Institute of Criminology

1) Databank on Criminology and Criminal Justice institutions, programs, journals etc. all over the World: Headers in German and in English
http://www.jura.uni-tuebingen.de/einrichtungen/ifk/www

2) Databank of publications on Criminology and Criminal Justice (including many related disciplines) KrimDok, containing some 180,000 entries, a large part of them in English, but also many in French, Spanish and other languages, apart from German ones.
By punching in your query into the general search bar "Schnellsuche" , you will get easy access to Names, Titles etc.  However, Key Words ("Schlagwörter") are mostly written in German...
In case of interest you may check the functionality of the search engine regarding English language publications with e.g. "Police" (4,347 hits) or via the bar "Neue Suche" on the top (= New Search) with  "Juvenile Justice" (1,395 hits)  or with "Gangs" (456 hits) or with "Restorative Justice" (601 hits).  Comparatively: The German term "Jugendkriminalitaet" delivers some 2,100 hits in several languages.

Political Behavior, i.e. "handpicked articles" on  Innovations in the Study of Race and Politics

Political Behavior:
Innovations in the Study of Race and Politics

Political Behavior

Questions regarding the role of race in American politics continue to abound both in popular discourse and in scholarly research. These questions concern matters such as possible racial differences in public opinion and political participation, and the role of race in U.S. elections. Rather than putting such issues to rest, the election of Barack Obama as president in 2008 returned many of them to the fore. As the 2012 election nears, research on these topics warrants careful consideration.

Political Behavior long has been a leading outlet for innovative research on race and politics. On the eve of the 2012 election, Springer has opted to provide open access to recent works on race and politics that have appeared in Political Behavior.

Editor's Free Handpicked Articles

The eight articles highlighted here all were published in Political Behavior within the past three years. Collectively, these works represent well the quality and diversity of contemporary research on race and politics. You can download and save these articles to your computer, iPad or mobile device. They are available online with 30-day complementary access.
