It’s pretty much do everything each time. But I will admit that the ones with 6 pages of contents are at the back of the queue....
Shortest TOCs get done immediately by me if it’s about 6 or less entries, longer ones on the pile for the next volunteer who’s been trained up, really long ones get shelved with a subject of “VOLUNTEERS” to be dug out when someone needs another one to do and the pile is empty!

Do you have a ‘cut off’ for number of authors as in ‘if over 20 we’d not list them’ or do everything each time (I’m taking about non special collections books) (we don’t use DCRM(B) for much of our special collections books as it’s just not appropriate)

Re: Would you have listed the chapter titles as well or just the names? I had this debate the other day when doing a couple of books in our special collections (not rare ones) – maybe I just didn’t fancy a lot of typing!
We do the “chapter title / author name. – chapter title / author name. – “ format based on ISBD punctuation. (After a lot of online discussion and help!) then add the authors as authorities to the system, then add them as 700a’s to the record. Does take quite a long time...

Would you have listed the chapter titles as well or just the names? I had this debate the other day when doing a couple of books in our special collections (not rare ones) – maybe I just didn’t fancy a lot of typing!
