Design Ecologies 2.1 Intellect is delighted to announce the publication of Design Ecologies, issue 2.1

This issue of Design Ecologies centres around 'doubt' and the 'value' of design, specifically on broadening the architectural remit and decentralizing the designing part in favour of focusing on the concept of design in the environment - a sort of 'ill defined niche'. Nick Land introduces this issue, arguing that only a 'high-energy collision' will synthesize the intrinsically coherent design with the spontaneously coordinated ecologies. Shaun Murray's article, Ground, discloses the advent of telluric architecture, while Camila Sotomayor reanimates the concept of the ruin through terrestrial materials. Nat Chard declares an 'all out war' against the dark side of architecture, the 'nothingness certainty'. Tim Matts and Aidan Tynan's article hinges on the assertion that 'architecture' is always much more than its obvious form, thus reframing the operational field and consequences of design.
