An exciting post has arisen within Scottish Water's well-respected Analytics Team. The team develops world-class models of asset deterioration, customer service and cost; and is accountable for the optimisation of roughly £1billion of future capital investment. These analytical products directly feed into Scottish Water's asset planning processes and regulatory business plan. The post holder will provide expert statistical analysis of asset deterioration/reliability, business costs and customer service. A proportion of time will also be dedicated to the provision of analytical services to the wider business. 

 

Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following: 

*           A degree or postgraduate degree in a highly numerate subject

*           More than 2-3 years of practical experience of applying statistical and/or machine learning analysis to real world data.

*           Detailed knowledge of analytical/statistical techniques.

   *           Good written and verbal communication skills.
