Dear Colleagues:

This summer we recovered an in-place snaffle bit from an Iron Age mound burial in western Mongolia.

I am looking for comparable bits.  Can some-one send me a copy of  any of these? N. A. Palk  (1984) Iron Age Bridle-Bits from Britain,

E. M. Jope (1955) "Chariotry and Paired-Draught in Ireland during the Early Iron Age: The Evidence of Some Horse-Bridle-Bits,"  Ulster Journal of Archaeology,

E. M. Jope  (1950) "Two Iron-Age Horse Bridle-Bits from the North of Ireland,"
 Ulster Journal of Archaeology,

or

   the illustrated bits from
J.  Davis-Kimball, V. A.  Bashilov and L. T. Yablonsky  (1995) Nomads of the Eurasian Steppes in the Early Iron Age or any other pictures or descriptions of comparable bits?

Also, does any-one know of any-thing comparable from around this time-period to the (bronze?) clapper bell  we found under the neck of the horse?

tanks in advance for any help.
