Hello,
At Catal this year we found an aurochs
scapula with obsidean chips in
that shows evidence of healing.
We have tried X-raying the bone to get
more detail but it was not very successful. Does anyone have any suggestions
or experience of better ways of examining this injury - also any suggestions
for better photographs - would polarised light be any good at highlighting
the chips?
(Other catal finds are also on our facebook
page e.g. image of deposit of over 100 astraguli deposited with a birds
wing).
