Installations and interventions made from the materials of the place are inspired by the landscape and in particular the Hen Harrier. Ghost Bird celebrates the beauty of this bird and draws attention to its fragile existence within the North of England. In doing so, the work also becomes a means of reflecting on the journey taken 400 years ago over the Bowland Fells to Lancaster Castle by the Pendle Witches. Ghost Bird is created by Louise Ann Wilson, has choreography by Nigel Stewart of Sap Dance, and is performed by dance artist Julia Griffin and a team of life-models. This is a free event, but audiences MUST register their attendance by emailing <mailto:[log in to unmask]> [log in to unmask], indicating the size of party, individual names and email addresses along with any specialist access needs. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Ghost Bird is produced by Louise Ann Wilson Company Ltd and commissioned by Green Close as part of the Lancashire Witches 400 programme. It is a Live at LICA co-commission and is supported by United Utilities Estates, their tenants, Forest of Bowland AONB, and Hen Harrier experts from the RSPB.
