Hello everybody.  Another fishing expedition for benchmarking data….   I do wonder why we have do do so many of these via groups like HEDG and SEDA, when most of the time, the information is wanted by all of us.

 

Anyway, this is is about instituytional targets for numbers (and levels?) of HEA fellowships.  I was just asked to come up with a figure and, to be honest, it was pretty much out of the air, as we don’t track the data that we could base such a target on.  With a CPD framework coming in in 2013 and new requirements that all new teaching staff obtain an FHEA, via either our PGCert of directly, within 3 years, plus a mapping of the academic promotions scheme to the CPD framework, I am going for 60% by 2017, although I suspect senior management will want this higher.

 

I have spoken to some people and seen a range of targets up to 100% within a year or so.
