Hi all,

 

We have been asked to contribute to the fire teams plan to roll out fire evacuation mats and there is concern about how the evacuation marshals or security will help get those in wheelchairs, from the chair to the evac mat safely – both in terms of the user and the assistant.

 

The mats will only be used in emergencies and there could be people with a range of capabilities. There are no hoists available.

 

I just wondered if anyone out there has any experience with them?
