Dear all,

*Apologies for cross posting*

A reminder about the "Making games for libraries" event in Leeds on 10th December. Places are filling up fast now, so make sure you book soon!

The day will be primarily practical, giving people a chance to design and prototype games for their libraries, particularly around the teaching of information literacy skills. There will be sample games to play, lots of game making materials, and an information literacy game (SEEK!) to take away for every attendee.

Cost is £50 per attendee, only bookable through the form at http://infolit-games.eventbrite.co.uk/

A draft programme follows, this is subject to change:

09:30-10:00 Registration

10:00-10:15 Introduction

10: 15-10:30 Game playing

10:30-11:00 Presentation (about games vs play and some game ideas to start things off)

11:00-11:15 "Play" exercise

11:15-11:30 Tea / coffee

11:30 to 12:30 Game making (decide on problem, decide on game approach.)

12:30 to 13:00 Feedback from groups - chance for input from other groups.

13:00 to 14:00 Lunch

14:00 to 15:30 Game making (creating prototypes using provided materials)

15:30 to 16:00 Game feedback / Presentation

16:00 Winding up / Finish

*If you can't make it, but are interested in games for libraries, please take a look at my Indiegogo campaign (http://www.indiegogo.com/infolit-games) to create SEEK! and think about contributing - only a couple of days of this campaign left to run...*

Regards,

Andrew
