The lectureship, named after William Bullerwell, first Chief Geophysicist of the (predecessor to the) British Geological Survey, is a prestigious appointment for an outstanding young or early-career geophysicist. If you have a colleague that fits this description please nominate them. The nomination form is available on our website, http://www.geophysics.org.uk Follow the link "Meetings and Events" in the centre of the page, to find the downloadable form and call for nominations. There is a list of past Bullerwell lecturers there, too. Nominations for the Bullerwell lectureship will close on the 31st September 2012 and the 2013 recipient will be announced at the BGA AGM in February.
