Two POSTDOC POSITIONS are immediately available at the Unidad de Biofisica (CSIC-UPV/EHU), Leioa, Spain. This unit is located nearby Bilbao and offers state-of-the-art research facilities (X-ray, CD, FTIR, AFM, ITC). Postdoc positions are offered to work on the field of outer membrane protein biogenesis or iron metabolism in bacteria. Ideal candidates have a strong background in chemistry, biochemistry, membrane biochemistry, structure biology or biophysics. Postdocs should be talented, highly motivated and should have at least one first author paper in a well-cited reserach journal.
The work currently planned includes cloning, expression, purification, biophysical characterization and structure biology of (membrane) proteins. Previous knowledge in at least two of these techniques is required. People with a background in phage display or

The appointment is initially for 12 months, and can be renewed for further 24 months.
