Medical Statistician

Salary: £28,200- £32,100 per annum

We are seeking to appoint a Medical Statistician to join a team of researchers working on the Burden of Obstructive Lung Disease (BOLD) study.

This post offers excellent opportunities for an enthusiastic statistician with a strong background in statistics and an interest in public health to join a highly acclaimed team of researchers based at the Respiratory Epidemiology and Public Health group, Imperial College. The team is coordinating the second phase of the Burden of Lung Disease (BOLD) study which is determining the burden of COPD in mainly middle and low income countries.

You will work alongside international experts in the field and with other London based BOLD team members including a Biostatistician, Data Manager, Project Manager and Clinical Research Fellow to achieve the aims set out by the study.  

With an MSc in Statistics, you will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work well within a multidisciplinary team. You will be required to have a good working knowledge of a statistical package in the field of epidemiology, preferably STATA, have a proven ability to complete projects and work to deadlines, and be able to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills as well as analytical and problem solving abilities. 

The post is full time and fixed term for one year. It will be based at the Royal Brompton Campus.
