I had exactly the same call yesterday but it sounded so like the "we have detected a problem with your computer" phone calls that I declined the invitation immediately. I asked where my phone number had been obtained from and was told it was from a "database". Citing the Data Protection Act (rightly or wrongly) I pointed out that my number was not in the public domain and could it be deleted from their records immediately. Well, you can ask!
