Hi Michael

Please could you forward details of the next Mid Fed event to your members of the Social History Curators Group?

Building For Success: The Highs and Lows of Capital Projects

Wednesday 10 October

Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery

The meeting will introduce delegates to the practical considerations of devising, delivering and evaluating capital projects, inviting colleagues from around the region to share their experiences and tips on how to avoid typical pitfalls.

The meeting is being held at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery. On 12 October 2012, 'Birmingham: its people, its history' opens at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. The galleries are supported by a £8.9m Heritage Lottery Fund grant.

In the iconic new 'Birmingham, its people, its history' galleries visitors can explore the city's global heritage from medieval times and the industrial revolution, through to the World Wars - to the technology-led life of the 21st century. The galleries' dramatic architecture and imaginative displays can inspire visitors of all ages. Delegates will have the opportunity to preview the galleries during the afternoon with Curator, Henrietta Lockhart.
