ANNOUNCING A NEW BOOK FROM CONTRE COUP PRESS

 

 

The Contre Coup Press is pleased to announce it’s latest book, ‘Satiable Curtiosity: Three Origin Myth Tales from Just So Stories by Rudyard Kipling. The stories included are “How the Whale Got His Throat,” “How the Rhinoceros Got His Skin,” and “The Elephant’s Child.” There is an Afterword by Theophile Homard.

 

The book was set by hand in the Cochin typeface and printed on Frankfurt Cream mouldmade paper on a Vandercook SP20 printing press. The book is 9 by 6 inches with 65 pages. It is bound by the Campbell-Logan Bindery in cloth-backed decorated paper-covered boards.

 

The book includes four full-page original linoleum-cut illustrations designed and engraved by Nick Baute. Each copy of the book is signed by the artist.

 

The book is published in an edition of 23 copies.

 

The price is $75.00 plus $5.00 for shipping.
