Subject: Still time to join the Iolanthe Midwifery Trust as a Trustee

There is still time to join the Iolanthe Midwifery Trust as a Trustee - the closing date for applications is 1 September 2012. Details are given below.

THE IOLANTHE MIDWIFERY TRUST
NEW TRUSTEES NEEDED FOR THIS UNIQUE MIDWIFERY CHARITY

The Iolanthe Midwifery Trust aims to promote and improve the care of mothers, babies and families through awarding grants and fellowships in support of midwifery education, practice and research. For many midwives The Iolanthe Midwifery Trust has transformed their lives, supporting them in achieving their dreams and aspirations. Over the last 30 years the Trust has helped more than 300 midwives develop and broaden their skills and knowledge through bursaries, fellowships and special awards. In order to do this the Trust depends on a group of Trustees who believe that the education and development of midwives and student midwives is essential for the high quality care of mothers and babies. To find out more about the Iolanthe Midwifery Trust visit our website http://www.iolanthe.org/

We are now seeking highly motivated individuals to join us at the Iolanthe Midwifery Trust. Being a Trustee of the Iolanthe Midwifery Trust provides a great opportunity to make a difference to midwives and student midwives in the UK.

Who should apply?
We are particularly interested in enthusiastic individuals who can contribute one or more skills in the following areas:
• midwives (registered with NMC) with recent clinical contact
• fundraising
• digital media and communication
Currently the minimum time commitment is to attend two London-based Trust meetings each year (usually March and November) and to contribute to other activities related to the work of the Trust, chiefly via e-mail, throughout the year.

The Iolanthe Midwifery Trust is a Registered Charity No 287283. Trustees receive no remuneration; reasonable expenses are paid.

To apply, please send us your CV supported by the attached expression of interest. If short-listed you will be invited to an interview in London on 22nd October 2012 and asked to make a brief presentation to a panel of Trustees. Dr Helen Cheyne, Chair of the Trustees, will be happy to discuss the Trust and its work with interested applicants ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>).
