The Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism in the Department of Politics and International Relations is looking to appoint a researcher on a comparative project on the "The Euro Crisis, Media Coverage, and Perceptions of Europe within the EU" This project is funded by a grant from the Fell Fund, University of Oxford. The project will examine how differences in coverage have affected perceptions of the crisis in Europe.



This research post will be from 1 October 2012 to 31 August 2013.



The post is available at 50% FTE. There may be the possibility of extension for one year for a suitably qualified candidate. Evidence of research and publications of international standing would be an advantage.

MeCCSA is the subject association for the field of media, communication and cultural studies in UK Higher Education. Membership is open to all who teach and research these subjects in HE institutions, via either institutional or individual membership. The field includes film and TV production, journalism, radio, photography, creative writing, publishing, interactive media and the web; and it includes higher education for media practice as well as for media studies.
