Mobile Library Champion of the Year: 2012

 

Good vehicles, books and equipment are important, but the people who serve the customers are what really make any mobile library service a success.

 

The Cilip Branch & Mobile Libraries Group recognises the achievements of outstanding assistants, drivers or librarians who make a real difference to the lives of the people who use their mobile library with the Mobile Library Champion of the Year Award.

 

We would like to build upon the success of this award and encourage all library authorities with a mobile library service to nominate a candidate.  Last year’s winner was Gerry Blaikie , from Lancaster County Council.

 

You are invited to nominate a member of staff who works with customers on a mobile library as Mobile Library Champion of the Year: 2012.  The winner will receive an award that can be displayed on their mobile library.  The award will be presented at the 2012 Mobilemeet at Brighton Racecourse on Saturday 29th September 2012.

 

This national award is open to all library authorities in the UK.

 

Members of staff must be nominated by their employer (form to be completed by the line manager) with at least two customer testimonials.  Library authorities are eligible to nominate one member of staff only each year.
