Dear Colleagues,

The Current Awareness Service for Health (CASH) has set-up a working group whose primary aim is to look at the various ways in which the service could be utilised to provide a platform for distributing high quality information and data around commissioning and public health. The project is still in its infancy, although work is currently underway to set-up a central signposting and alerting service via the Netvibes platform. Further details about the project can be found on the TIN Website.

We would like to hear from anyone who has started to think about addressing the information needs of Clinical Commissioning Groups and/or a reorganised Public Health service. In particular, we would love to hear your ideas and to learn more about any projects/initiatives currently being implemented.

Please take a few minutes to answer the following questions. Your answers will be used to inform the development of the CASH Project. If you are interested in getting involved in the project, please contact me by email: [log in to unmask].

1.      Are you involved in providing a library service to Commissioners / Clinical Commissioning Groups / Public Health/local authority staff? Or do you anticipate that you will be at some stage?

2.      Briefly describe the service you provide

3.      What types of information are you asked for?

4.      What sources do you use when gathering the information?

5.      What have you found works well when providing this kind of service (examples of good practice)

6.      What (if any) problems have you encountered?

Many thanks in advance.

Kath
