Dear Rich,

Use the two columns that say 'pyrolite' at the top if you want the concentrations of the elements in pyrolite. Divide your measured concentrations by those to get pyrolite normalised values that you can use for the spider plot. Also mind the different units of the concentrations in this table, they are in wt%, ppm and in ppb.

Hi everybody,

Excuse the stupidity of my question,  I want to work out some spiders diagrams for comparison using the normalization facors of primitive mantle composition (pyrolite) of Sun and McDonough 1995, I looked at the paper, I found several tables..etc.., not sure which values are the right one:

Would the composition of pyrolite presented in table 5 of the paper (attached) (column 7 in the table), where Pd = 3.9, Ag = 8, Cd = 40, etc..or the one of pyrite normalized to C1 and Mg (column 8).

If any of you can help, I would appreciate it. I thank you.
