Re O.K. topics to post on the list serve: actually, I found the last posting on punctuation very interesting and very useful, not least because both the correspondents cited sources. It is helpful to have guidelines, but I liked the spirit of the idea that the list serve is what we make it. The discussion around punctuation was lively and fun, as well as helpful.
