The University wishes to extend its commitment to the Centre
for Statistical Science and Operational Research (CenSSOR)
through investment in a new lectureship post.
CenSSOR is a
vibrant research centre, whose members have nurtured a strong
research environment and team spirit. Their work is enriched
by many collaborations with other research groups, both
multidisciplinary and specialist in Statistics &
Operational Research (SOR). Current research interests of
CenSSOR include Survival Analysis, Bayesian Modelling, Data
Mining, Markov Modelling and Stochastic Models. Research
applications range from healthcare research and medical SOR to
traffic flow and infrastructure modelling. Substantial
research funding from both national and international sources
continues to underpin this research effort.
CenSSOR is now
seeking to build on this success. This permanent post provides
an excellent opportunity for successful candidates to join an
enthusiastic research group. They will be expected to develop
their own research plans, further enhancing research and
complementing the work in the Centre, while demonstrating a
commitment to teaching excellence at all levels in SOR. The
post is also an ideal opportunity for anyone wishing to return
to Academia.
