Subject: [ZOOARCH] opinions sought ...odd-bone

Folks,
I have posted three series of photos on zoobook and would be grateful for opinions

The first is an odd-looking bone that seems to resemble the back of a skull (occipital), but is very thick, and also has a very small angle, only about 90 degrees at what would be the top, where the occipital meets the frontal bone.  The bone is quite light and 'fluffy', and on the narrow sides doesn't really look as though it should be fusing to an adjacent bone - maybe I'm going mad, and hopefully when someone enlightens me I will say 'Ahhh - of course'

see other emails for the other bones (to keep the threads sensible)
thanks
Fiona
