Dear all

 You will I hope be pleased at how well the SEDA journal Innovations in Education and Teaching International is doing in the citations and impact factor world - Taylor and Francis the publishers have just released the following:

'Yesterday evening, Thomson Reuters released the 2011 Impact Factor scores on its JCR. This year there are 203 journals included in the ‘Education & Educational Research’ category, a significant increase on the number listed in the 2010 index where just 184 journals were available.

In terms of Innovations in Education and Teaching International’s 2011 Impact Factor, the details are as follows;

2011 Impact Factor:                         0.794
Ranking:                                               89/203

2011 5 Year Impact Factor:           1.012
Ranking:                                               66/203

The journal’s Impact Factor has seen a significant increase from 0.644 in 2010, and even with the additional journals in the index this year IETI’s ranking has also increased as the journal was 91/184 in the 2010 listing.

In terms of other metrics that are available at this early stage, I can tell you that 54 citations were made in 2011 to the 68 articles published in 2009 and 2010. As there were 47 journal citations in 2010 to those articles that count in the metric’s calculation, the statistics again show positive upward changes.

All in all, these results are incredibly positive and show the journal’s stability and high quality.  '

SO!!   Please think of recommending the journal to your colleagues -  cite it! write for it!read it!!

The SEDA@20 issue end of 2013 promises to be  a landmark issue , and recent specials include one on doctoral education (ed Barbara Grant and Catherine Manathunga ) and another in Academic identities (ed Jan Smith)
 Thanks to everyone involved with it, including SHREC , Celia Popovic for reviews, and the Executive.

 Best wishes
Gina Wisker (editor) and Liz Thompson (asst editor)
