Applications are invited for two PhD positions in the search for
extrasolar planets and stellar activity at the Institute for
Astrophysics, University of Goettingen. The graduate students will
work primarily under the supervision of Prof. Ansgar Reiners and Dr.
Sandra Jeffers and will be actively involved in the collaborative
programme 'Astrophysical Flow Instabilities and Turbulence', funded by
the German DFG.

The rapidly expanding 'Stellar Activity and Extra-solar Planets'
research group at the Institute for Astrophysics at the Georg-August
University, G=F6ttingen, offers a young and dynamic work environment.
Research at the IAG combines theoretical and observational work in
stellar astrophysics, extra-solar planets, astro and helioseismology,
solar physics, instrument development as well as other fields. It is
participating in the development of ESO VLT and E-ELT facilities and
of the exoplanet survey CARMENES at Calar Alto Observatory. G=F6ttingen
is a historic university city with a vibrant student population
situated close to the Harz mountains in central Germany.
