I’d suggest that your students look into registering with the
Year in Industry (YinI) Scheme http://www.etrust.org.uk/year_in_industry.cfm
.
YinI provide gap year students with 9 to 12 month paid work
placements in fields such as engineering, maths, science, IT and business. I am
currently on a gap year and have almost completed my Year in Industry. I’ve
gained invaluable experience and it’s a great thing to be doing before starting
a degree.

Hello everybody,
A number of my A-level students are planning to take a year
out before going to university and would like to spend some of that time
