Hello!

Would you like the chance to become a maths performer?

The performance team from Maths Busking will be entertaining the
crowds once again at this year's British Science Festival in Aberdeen
in September - and we're looking for new recruits! We'll be running a
two day training programme for budding Maths Buskers on 31st August
and 1st September, with performance in Aberdeen as part of the Science
Festival the following weekend.

The free training programme, kindly sponsored by the British Science
Festival, is open to anyone wanting to do mathematics communication,
including researchers, teachers, communicators, students, and
performers of any kind.

The session will be led by Maths Busking co-founder Matt Parker, the
Stand-up Mathematician, and busking expert Ken Farquhar, better known
as science performer Dr Ken.

The training programme will focus on presentation skills and talking
to the public, as well as busking techniques. Mathematics routines
will be explored in the context of street performance. You will also
have the opportunity to entertain the public as part of the British
Science Festival, alongside our experienced performers.

For more information about the Maths Busking project or the training
programme, to watch a video of buskers in action, or to sign up to
train with our expert team, visit our website at www.mathsbusking.com.

Please pass this message on to anyone you think would be interested in
joining us!

Thanks

Katie Steckles
