I’ve thought long and hard about defending myself publicly as the one who recommended the mediation service, particularly as Anne and Kevin do a great and probably rather thankless task of keeping nearly a thousand people in line, even though many remain silent.
However, I do feel I need to state my case and say that my intention was never to advertise. My intention was to provide a lead to someone that might help them and others. I have no commercial link to the organisation in question, will receive no commission or fee – direct or indirect – for any “work” that might come out of it and would not want this.
Personally, I was one of those more in favour of the job adverts although will accept now that the list is probably better without them, particularly as there are now linked in sites etc. However, I think we be a poorer list if we couldn’t from time to time recommend others services on a non commercial basis.
